*Sitting at her small desk, she tapped her toes as she adjusted the volume on the headphones, listening in to snippets of recordings from assets and "undisclosed intel". Which basically meant illegally obtained. Her job this week was to sort out anything that sounded suspicious, and mark the time code. After that, I'd go to the specialists in the cryptography department to further analyze.*
*It was boring, tedious work, yet also incredibly important. Knowing that, she kept her mind on the task, only pausing it when it was time to clock out and head home. She wasn't really a fan of this 9-5 crap, she preferred being out in the field. A week or two of work and then a month or two of vacation? That was her kind of job.*
*However, right now they had to focus on the jobs they had at hand, which meant doing what was needed instead of what you wanted. Stretching, she tossed the headphones and tapes back into the desk drawer, hitting the time clock at the front door so they knew she'd left. Heading to the Jeep, she eased out of the parking garage. Turstin had driven with her last week and demanded she stop being a maniac on the road and putting herself in danger.*
*She tried to oblige as best she could. She wasn't a "bad" driver, per se, she just wanted to get from point A to point B in the least amount of time and with the least amount of aggravation. Once she'd pulled into the drive, she tucked the sunglasses up into the visor, tugging her bag from the passenger seat. Hopping out, she frowned.*
*Lately, the prying eyes had been less conspicuous. Yet every time she returned home, she felt them, crawling over her spine. She didn't spook easily, but the idea of someone watching the Den that they'd created for protection wasn't a happy one. Giving a furtive look around, she hurried to unlock the large doors and get inside. They needed to figure this out. And soon.*
